About the Role

FreeWill is seeking a Sales Development Representative to play an integral role in increasing our nonprofit partnerships across the country. As a company, we place a premium on learning and development to help propel careers. You will gain exposure to industry leaders and experienced mentors from diverse backgrounds, including sales, social entrepreneurship, and nonprofit development.

This role will need to work during general business hours which is typically 9-5pm EST or 7-3pm PST.

FreeWill has set compensation and a non-negotiation policy for fairness reasons (we don't think that an individual's pay should be determined by how comfortable they are negotiating). As a result, we like to be transparent and up front about the compensation. When we make an offer, we provide multiple options so that employees can choose between compensation packages that prioritize salary or stock options. The offers for this role will be between $58,500 and $60,000 (plus performance-based bonuses). We also have historically offered competitive annual raises.


  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the FreeWill product and value proposition
  • Research, identify, and create new sales qualified leads (SQLs) for Account Executives
  • Build your own non-profit prospect lists from an assigned account territory (i.e. universities, animal shelters, faith based organizations, etc.) based on our ideal customer profiles
  • Make cold outreach to designated non-profits via phone call and email
  • Methodically manage an accurate sales funnel to meet quarterly revenue goals


  • Goal-oriented and passionate about succeeding in a metric-driven sales role
  • Interest in joining a SaaS company that directly supports non-profit fundraising efforts
  • Comfortable making cold calls and spending part of your day on the phone and email
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities as part of an ever-growing sales team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including in persuasion and objection handling
  • Excellent at working on teams and engaging with potential clients
  • Some experience with, or strong willingness to learn, sales databases and tools (such as Salesforce, Sales Navigator, and SalesLoft)
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
