Miami-Dade County Internal Services Department (ISD) is seeking an executive level administrator who will be an effective member of the senior management team and is committed to enhancing the Department's vision and strategic goals.

This is highly responsible and professional work within the Real Estate Development Division of Internal Services Department which involves negotiating agreements with private parties for the development of government facilities and ancillary uses; establishing private/public partnerships for real estate development deals; leasing County properties to County departments and third parties; leasing property from third party entities for County and State agencies and departments; and, purchasing/selling/maintaining properties for the County. This position is also involved in monitoring compliance with operating agreements for County-owned properties, Marlins Ballpark, and FTX Arena properties which includes approving the annual operating, capital budgets and projecting of capital assets. The selected candidate will supervise a staff between approximately 18-24 employees, which include real estate advisors, a manager, real estate analyst, chief real estate officer, asset manager & development officer, numerous real estate officers and supporting administrative staff to assure efficient and effective achievement if divisional goals.

ISD provides a wide range of internal support services for the ongoing operation of County government which focuses on promoting operational best practices and efficient government operations. ISD provides various customer-based business services that include, but not limited to, procurement, facility management, design and construction management, fleet management, risk management, surplus property disposition services, capital inventory management, and large-scale printing services, and small business development and services. Through these various business lines, ISD is engaged in real estate development and management, Americans with Disabilities Act compliance, elevator regulation, materials management, and parking services.


Bachelor's degree. A minimum of five to ten years of experience in managing real estate transactions; negotiating and managing property leases; and/or monitoring compliance with operating agreements, inclusive of five years of supervisory experience, is required. Prior real estate work within a government agency is highly preferred.
