POSITION: Network Administrator
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION: The Systems Administrator will work closely with the IT Manager and other IT staff to fulfill resort technological needs as they relate to network systems, hard and software administration, database administration, ,server and network maintenance and optimization. In addition, this position will play a big role in help desk administration and handling all types of resort IT requests.

  • Provide technical support for hardware and software issues.
  • Perform proactive monitoring, maintenance, and optimization of server and network infrastructure and applications, including applying service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
  • Manage, maintain, and support backup and recovery strategy & provide recommendations to enhance the strategy and implementing policies
  • Assist with capacity planning for IT resources.
  • Perform adds, moves, changes of user accounts.
  • Development and maintenance of corporate intranet.
  • Satisfy various data entry and reporting needs utilizing various reporting, programming, and scripting tools.
  • Cyber security monitoring and use of security tools to prevent breaches
  • Configuration and troubleshooting of firewall issues
  • Knowledge and ability to assist writing IT policies and enforcing compliance
  • Provide training and documentation on corporate systems.
  • Installation, testing, and maintenance of low voltage cable (phone, data, coax).
  • Respond to and resolve help desk requests; document issues, progress, and resolutions.
  • Investigate, test, implement, and document new processes of systems.
  • Responsible for completing project requests as directed by manager.
  • Other assigned duties as business needs require.
  • Willingness to assist winter operations if staffing levels require
  • Projects as assigned by the IT Manager, CFO and CEO

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and a team player that is comfortable with the changing dynamics of a seasonal operation. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills within the following areas:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or 3-5 years’ experience in a technical environment
  • Experience in the ski industry or seasonal resort setting preferred
  • Windows Desktop (7/8/10) and Server (2008/2012/2016) Operating Systems
  • Active Directory, Exchange, MS SQL
  • PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript, ASP.net, C# & C++, SQL, Powershell
  • VMware vSphere & vCenter
  • Shoretel/Mitel VoIP & Analog Phone Systems
  • Networking - TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VLAN, Ubiquiti Wireless, Routing & Cabling
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
  • Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP Model
  • Cyber security knowledge including VPN and firewall setup
  • Data Backup/Recovery policies
  • Point of Sale Systems & PCI Compliance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comprehension of Microsoft products including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Professional IT certifications (CCNA/CCNP, MCSE/MCSA, CompTIA Network +) highly desired
